Under the Auspices of the European Cultural Foundation, Scotland in Europe carried out a project of civic engagement in Scotland and energised the debate around European and regional identity and the contentious issue of Brexit
The Founder and Chair of Thinking Acts, Effie Samara started the initiative of Scotland in Europe with funding by the European Cultural Foundation and the research and academic support of the University of Glasgow. Over 2000 participants were involved in the research and debates and provided the platform for a wider digital consultation under the auspices of the Being Human Festival.
Scotland in Europe was pivotal in Thinking Acts' ability to identify projects and tools to further progress challenging actions and meet gaps, test new areas, widen ‘European/New Scots’ delivery partners and support the implementation of new rights
